Will the C6 have mechanical problems in the first year of production?

I dont think it will have any more problems that the average car has. Nothing is perfect! I doubt it will have any significant problems.

Rarely do new models come out with NO problems!!! As with any 1st year intros. They will have a few hopefully SMALL problems! Cant wait to walk up & touch one.:D

Ever listen to Gordon Killebrew list the design defects/assemply line mistakes/bad engineering year by year...and how some problems continued year after year? Ever know an assembly line worker?
My 98 C5 was in the shop on a regular basis for little problems.
My 03 C5 has never had even the first bug after 14 months and 22,000 miles.
Takes a few years to work out the little bugs and fine tune things.
People on the assembly line that have always enjoyed building Corvettes and now have to slap together Caddies can toss the "bugs" in the SRX.
They're bound to have a few bugs. As Blade points out - the deeper you get into the generation of any of them the better they get. Maybe there will be a few privately owned C6's at Carlisle in late August. That would be an ideal place to ask the new owners what their experience has been.

It's like anything that's first introduced- the law of averages. There is always something. I'm sure GM has worked out most of the kinks. I don't know about you but the C6 hasn't grown on me. I think it looks really average. The front end is as boring as pudding. I'm sure it's really refined and will run like a raped ape. It just doesn't have the drama of the previous Vette's........Sorry fellow CAC"s
Yup, I agree. Seems like all the auto makers share this problem.:( Rarely do new models come out with NO problems!!! As with any 1st year intros. They will have a few hopefully SMALL problems! Cant wait to walk up & touch one.:D

Hopefully the wheels won't fall off at high speeds!
