I am all set to remove the throttle body for cleaning, and cannot find in the service manual how to remove the throttle cable (and spring assembly) from the throttle body. I have done a search on this site for doing this specifically with an LT1, but no joy. Any help here is appreciated.

Also, I seem to remember there is a procedure in the manual (but cannot find it now, or my memory is shot) on resetting the TV cable. Now, some responses on the forum have indicated that this is not necessary. I am not replacing any components (except the gaskets) - I am just cleaning the throttle body.

Thanks in advance,
Jack W.

I figured out how to disconnect the TV cable from the spring-tensioner mechanism. My bad eyes didn't see the way before.

My guess is that I will NOT have to worry about resetting the TV cable when I put it back on. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Jack W

Do you have cruise control? If so remove the top and remove the cable fom it use a small screw driver to pry on the tab that holds the plastic retainer on the throttle body.
