Ideas on a new cam?

"They told me so"- and I wouldn't listen when they said to install a beefed up cam in my new crate BEFORE I installed the new motor. No crying over the past , so the question I have is this:
When someone says they have installed a "mild" cam, what should I ask for? What brand name to ask for? About how much $$ to expect to pay for the part(s)?
Think I have a good idea of what labor efforts are ahead since I did the motor changeout, but have no idea of the above mentioned items.
How much of a h.p. increase can I look for with a "mild" cam installation, if any?The car will have true dual exhaust installed at the same time, with the stock manifolds.
The new crate is a GM 350 with an aledged 230-250 horses, all stock.

Mike- This cam is the one we usually recommend from GM when upgrading from the stock crate engine you have.

wouldn't the 'old' #151 cam (327/350) do as good, if not a better, job, in this application (unless I'm missing something, like using the L-81 computer)?
We put the #151 cam in a stock LM-1 '80 Z28 short-block 'back-in-the-day' with an L-82 intake & reworked Q-Jet that ran mid-14s @ 94-ish MPH.
In mine, we used a bit more aggressive profile (.460"/224* ?) with a 327/365 HP intake & 650 Holley (everything else being nearly identical), and I ran 14-thirties @ 97 MPH w/ open headers.
