View Full Version : 1993 LT1 Serpentine Belt Question

Have a 1993 with LT-1 engine. Decided to replace the serpentine belt with Delco Part Number 6K670 (88932719)
The old original belt has both sides grooved and the factory replacement only has one side grooved and the other is smoothe.

Would this not create a slipping condition to use the single grooved belt?

Somehow you've got the wrong belt...insist on the grooved double sided one.

The belt you are looking for is for 92-early93 only,It has to have both sides grooved!!! Any of the supply houses should be able to help you!!!! Good Luck!!:D

I agree. The 92 and early 93's have the double grooved belt. Make sure you get the correct one. They cost a lot more though! :(
