View Full Version : Steering Rack Leak (HELP)

I just noticed my steering rack leaking from a little silver button on the main shaft of it, it's located right in front of the harmonic balancer.

Does anyone know if this button is replacable or is there an O-ring or seal that can be replaced. Or do just have to replace the whole rack?

I hear ya, just looking for anyone who has had a leak in this area or knows what those silver buttons are for.

I took a look at our computer system (ShopKey 5)

We can buy nearly every piece on the rack to repair. Usually with cheaper cars you just replace the entire thing with a rebuild but on ours we can replace individual pieces.

Hope that answers something for you! It can be done.

That's encouraging Bigred but do you know what the two silver buttons are, can I reseal them? I have the manual and I don't see them on it.
