Default My Baby

Dropped another grand on my baby today(no not my wife). Got 4 new BFG's 255/60/15,all four rotors turned, front bearings packed, new organic pads all the way around and new window tint on all the glass.Looks really good with the 255's instead of those skinny 225/70's that were on there.

Yep! Its just like a member of the family. The 255/60R15 tires are really a great tire package for the L81's.

I don't have any photos but I'm sure someone will post some. Yes they DO make the car The tires I had were 225/70/15,skinny,the 255's fill the wheel well better and look mean from the rear. Alot of rubber on the road and they look cool on the front also.

Any issues with the new tires rubbing the inner fenders or wheel wells? I looking into putting new tires on mine this summer amd was hoping to go with the 255's. Later Zane

Zane,

I can guarantee you that they won't rub. The 255/60R15's were an optional tire package on the 1981 Vettes, and if I am not mistaken, the wheels were all one size -no options.

They do not rub on my car. Yes the 255/60/15 was an optional tire in 81 as were the aluminum alloy wheels which I have, 15x8. My only concern was the ebrake cable bracket rubbing on the tire but it is no where near it. Hope this helps.

O.K. So Now my only question is, "What brand of tire did you go with?" Zane
