prices since barrett/jackson?
O.K., this time I'm looking for what you all might think prices have done, or will do because of barrett/jackson.
For instance....1967 427/400 coupe. Equipped with: T.I., p/w, p/s, p/b (actually a j56 big brake car) marlboro marooen, black leather headrest seats, side exhaust, rally wheels, rebuilt motor bored 20 over 19k ago with hardened valve seats.

I think most people understand that B-J prices are a result of ego battles between people with fat wallets, too much gold jewelry, and little knowledge about the cars they're bidding on, and it has little effect on normal transaction prices (although it gives some sellers delusions of grandeur).

Agree....I saw the condition of a White C1, the dash pad was lifting up with several other major flaws...sold for over 35K.....way overpriced. Yet other cars that are great looking with a lot of money sold as a bargin. The word CORVETTE makes the price go up at B&J especially if its a Big Block.
To much money, to little common sense...the winner is B&J....they get 8Percent of the sale, plus registration fees for buyer and seller, plus a good sum just to register you car. I know because I sold one last year at West Palm Beach....

"Old, Fat , Bald , Cigar Smoking, Unhealthy looking scum"
hey I resemble that remark! ok, maybe not too too old at 40, and just balding rather than bald, and I smoke a cigar just every so often, but c'mon, we can't all be Tom Cruise look alikes . . .

Vett-Less - The dudes I saw were young newly millionaired baseball and football players (young Tom Cruise look-alikes). The guys you describe are working for them to check out the cars.

Hey Vett-less, The clock is always ticking, you never know when the hair will go..... the spare tire is optional as is the cigar and I don't see why that makes them scum regardless of whether they are buyers or just runners?
