Default is it a rear window defroster??

upon removing the interior of my 75,i found a fan with a tube ,in the quarter panel behind the drivers seat wich goes to a vent by the rear window. Is this the rear defrost??where is the switch fot it?
another one, what is the switch on the center console side by the drivers foot.??like a rocker switch.what's it for?

Default rear window defroster

The switch by the drivers foot on the console forward piece is the Rear Defroster switch. I it has a red indicator and should illuminate red when turned on. Thats the way it is on my 76. I have wires in my rear window for the defroster maybe on the 75's they used a blower.

HELLO, i too have the rear window fan on my 74. it has a three position switch(hi-off-low) .mine works does a tolerable job of blowing air on the window.but doesn't do too good for a defroster.
hope this helps. let me know if you need more info on this

Mike,

The console switch runs the fan blower for your 75, it's not always the best but it helps. Just remember to leave a little room around it if your replacing the carpeting for air flow.
