Default Restoration Question: Rear Differential

I'm in the process of completing my rear suspension rebuild. I have primed and painted all exposed metal from the frame and other hardware with Eastwood's Chassis Black. The paint is rated at 300 degrees. I have painted the front of the rear differential (Drive shaft input), with the chassis black. I was going to paint the rear of the differential with a silver paint that is rated at 200 degrees. Sorry for the wordiness ot this, but is heat a concern for this area?

Many thanks in advance

(is rated at 200 degrees)

I don't think you will have to worry about the diff getting that hot and the exhaust pipe isn't that close... Long hauls diffs get alittle warm but you can still put your hand on it, so I think your safe with the high heat paint...

Should look sharp ...

Isn't the 81 Crossmember and diff body made out of aliminium?
If so why do you want to paint that.

Greetings Peter.

I believe I will keep it stock. I like the look, since I painted the exposed plastic the color of the car...now if I just had an extra $1500..I could put the rear back together..sometimes it sucks staying within budget....
