I think Astro Ventilation was an option, at least in 1968..........

Yes, it's the basic configuration for non A/C cars.

I had a 74 back in the 80's had astro@ a/c the vents weren't functional that's why I asked

My 72 Vette T top has Astro Vents and it has AC. I think it is standard, at least on early 70s Vettes it is.

It was standard on non-A/C cars. On cars with A/C it was not operational but it still said Astro Ventalation on the side windows.
