Beretta 92G Elite II
Almost new condition (maybe 250 rounds through it)
The 92G series is similar to the 92FS that is carried by our troops, but it has a decocking lever only, instead of the combined decocking lever and safety of the 92FS. The internal safeties are all in place - only the external safety is disabled. The gun is actually safer in this form, since the owner does not put any reliance on a mechanical safety, and it can never be accidentally left in the "safe" position when you might want it to fire.
The Elite II guns are roughly based on the regular 92G frame, but have numerous enhancements. The backstrap of the frame is a couple millimeters thinner, and both the front- and backstrap are checkered, making the gun easier to grip. The slide is the "Brigadier" slide that was developed for our Border Patrol. It is recontoured with more metal in critical areas, making it stronger and a bit heavier than the standard slide. The extra weight enhances reliability and reduces recoil. The Brigadier slide also has front serrations for improved grip and a removable front sight. The sights are Novak low profile. The barrel is stainless steel and has a target crown. The hammer is skeletonized and the trigger mechanism has a bit of work to make it smoother. The frame is black and the slide and barrel are stainless, for a two-tone finish.
This is how if comes straight from the factory, so there are no worries about work being done by an unqualified gunsmith - everything is top-notch.
The gun comes with a lockable case and two 10-round magazines with rubber bumpers on the bases (to protect them when they are dropped in competitive shooting). I also have three 15-round milspec pre-ban magazines, a military holster and magazine case.
Basically, you get everything you need to start out with competitive shooting, or for home protection, or if you go hiking and need something to help you deal with dangerous animals.
I think that $850 is a more-than-fair price, since the gun alone costs over $700 new. I may be willing to split up the package, so let me know if you are interested in some part of it.
Of course, the standard disclaimer:
Check local laws, make sure you have all the appropriate paperwork that your state/city might require, and if you don't live in Maine or New Hampshire, then you'll need to have the name and address of a dealer with a valid FFL for me to ship to.
