VIN information on a 69
The last 6 digits are: 736345. As I understand it, the last 6 digits are production related, which is my main question. Since the run was up to 738762, I assume mine was a late built 69. I think this was also the year of the GM strike.
Can anyone tell me the xact date of birth of my car? How could I find out?

Nov 69
Sly,
If you get the Corvette Black Book lists the ending vin numbers by month. The November ending number was 736798.

Million thanks. I'm pretty sure my trim plate is original. I'm still at work, so it'll be another couple hours until I can check that.
Thanks again for the help!

I found code P22 on the trim tag. Does this mean 4th month (March) of 69? Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks again.

Looks to me like Nov 22nd. A would be Aug 68, B Sep 68, and so on through P which would be Nov if I am counting right. That also matches you VIN which is a Nov VIN. So Nov 22nd would be the date the body was completed. The completed car would then come off the assembly line one to two days later. Check a '68 calendar to see when T-day fell and when the weekend was. It could get into the holiday vacation.
