Default What's this car?

Has the new vette been released? Is this it? Or is this some concept car?

Looks like a Mosler of some sort to me.

Damn, I got all excited, I like it a lot better than anything else I've seen for the C6. Not that I could afford one anyway, yet...

As reported above, this is the Cerv lll which was a nearly-producable version of the mid engined Corvette Indy show car, which is my all-time favorite vette concept. Low, wide, long and (IMO) georgous. The integrated spoiler on the final gen of the Camaro was taken from this car. In hind sight it is probably best that this car was not produced as a mainstream vette, or by now I would guess that few of us could hope to own one.

Are you sure that isn't a '92 Henway?

If anyone is interested enough to build a model of that concept, it is available as the Corvette 'Indy' kit. They are on ebay, cheap.

I've had one on my shelf for years. I wish someone made a 1:18 metal version.

You know I never noticed how close the C5s front clip is to this mid engine prototype.
