'81 Red Paint Code

THE RPO FOR MY RED IN 1981 WAS 75L, BUT IS THERE A CODE FOR THAT COLOR. I AM HAVING THE CAR PAINTED AND THE PAINTER SAYS HE NEED A GM CODE FOR THE COLOR.I NOTICE THAT THE NEW CAR COLORS HAVE A CODE WITH TWO LETTERS IN FRONT OF IT. DID GM HAVE THIS KIND OF CODE BACK IN 1981.

I am not aware of any additional codes used by GM in 81. Tom or Bud may have more info to add.

Yep, the RPO order code for the 81 Coupe is definately 75 as you already know.
My 81 Coupe has the same colour paint here in Australia, so anything you find out would help me too, when I get around to my 'body off' restoration in a couple of years!

Burgular seems to have the colour codes.:cool
