My Corvette(s):
Default Red Brake Calipers

Does anyone make resonably priced red brake calipers for early C4's? Looking to upgrade the brakes soon.
Also, I need shocks. Looking at AC delco, TPIS, and KYB. Any Comments on these?
Thanks, John.

A search on the site revealed: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...der=descending

The GS valved Bilsteins are fine for my aggressive street driving.

Perhaps a bit more about your braking goals would draw advice best targeting your needs. I understand the Z06 red calipers are just painted stockers.

Enjoyed my visit to your area last weekend; nice hills, but'd be nicer in my Vette than the rental car. Got my new Vette sign at Hemming's, in Bennington, VT, too!

You could take your calipers off and paint them.

I would get Bilsteins for an autox/street car, Edelbrock IAS for a purely street driven car.

Id get a hi-temp paint, and try not to get it on anything but the outside of the caliper.

They sell some caliper paints in MidAmerica or Ecklers, Ive never tried them though.

I used red rust-oleum. I bought a can and brushed it on. If you do it like that, you can take your time, and it comes out great.

Default Red calipers

Hi, I was tempted to write a DEAR JOHN letter but thought better of it. Ecklers was the approiate paint kit for about $35. It is a two part apoxey and will be used all at one time. Has enough to do both front and rear. Two coats will take you all the way.I do have a complete c5 RED caliper set up including calipers, rotors,carriers/hardware and pads all gm new if you are interested.I have installed them on my 96 lt4, greater stopping power. thanks bob.
