Car's vin number is e575105019, car was made between June and July of 1957, so I would like as complete an engine as possible, I have a 265 56 motor in there now that has a single 4bbl carb that I am rebuilding.

Your car was built about the first week of July 1957.

920-235-6643 has a 57 block with date E 27 7. which would not be too bad. They can supply a "complete" engine. Give them a call and see what they say.

My 57 is 6316, last day of production, Friday Sept 6th 57.

Actually, Big D was looking for a block. The August block I have is a spare. My car is #3143 and I believe it was built on April 1, 1957. (Some may say April 2 but I like April Fool's Day better!)

Casting number is: 3 GM 3731548

rear pass side: H2 648

front driver's side: 0 G13 548
