Does anyone have a fully functional internal door lock assembly for a passenger door (this is the assembly the rod from the door handle connects to, not the outside lock assembly)? I know one can get these from Corvette Central rebuilt, but just wanted to check first with the group. I love this car, but GOD are these door hardware parts a pain!!

Also, my car is a manual and I may be getting a rebuilt differential in the near future rather than have mine "sealed" again to stop locks that refuse to stop. Again, if anyone has one of these that they can vouch for (2.72 to 1 ratio) let me know. Otherwise, of all the companies which offer these rebuilt (e.g., COrvette Central, Chicago COrvettes etc etc) can anyone recommend a company that seems to have the best rebuilt ones?

This is my only car, and sees about 11-15K a year of driving, so it's important to have these sorts of things fixed.

Thanks,

Chris,

Ikerds (http://ikerds.com) for the Rear End replacement, or contact Stingray6974 right here at CAC for more local advice.

As for the door locks... Grahula Interprize's .... can't seem to find the website address.. Gary has a Corvette Salvage yard in Missouri also has some NOS around there too.. Maybe a search on google..

Best wishes

Thanks, Bud. Ikerds looks great, and I am asking them for a catalog. Let me know if I can ever return the favor.

This post has been deleted since it gave a positive review for a negative company.

I've been waiting a month for a steering gear box. I've even offered to send in the core first.

Emails to Kymberlee go unanswered. Phone calls evoke statements like "It should go out on Monday". That was two weeks ago.

They're beginning to worry me and they have my money.

I refuse to go to anglefire web sites like his, laden with ads and pop-ups at every click. B/S

Fire Mike (Stingray6974) a PM and an Email. I believe he can enlighten you with the company you are trying to do business with ;) as you know things change and so do priorities...

Stingray6974 is a standup guy and I would trust Mike with Rare. He is a very occomplished Older Corvette Mechanic and they are getting harder and harder to find these days ;)

Yea I know what you mean about gary's website and being an anglefire nightmare ...
I get a smile everytime I see you in the C3 Forums and know that you are ONE of US now :D It's not just a C3 IT'S a SHARK my friend not a clamshell ;LOL

Kopbet,
This enlightening is more of a buyer beware than words of confidence. Without resorting to bashing or legal reprocussions let me say that this company has been a . . . . . disappointment to the corvette world. I won't go into details unless someone wants to know all the facts. I will say that since I left that company in November '03 quality, service, and morality left in a hurry.
First thing you need to do is get your money back. Absolutely do not send them your core. Everything on that website was built by me including several pieces on his !!!FAKE!!!! race car. Which he crashed this year at Sebring in less than 2 seconds after the start.
I've been a member on this forum since it was concieved and until a few months ago a supporting vendor: www.classiccorvetteparts.vstore.ca (http://www.classiccorvetteparts.vstore.ca)

I can rebuild your gearbox or send you a rebuilt one. And I really do ship by Monday.

Ouch! How disappointing. Thanks for the info. I'll have to try to initiate a charge back through the credit card company if they won't refund (which I doubt they will willingly).

What's the best way to contact you for rebuilds? Please PM with details,

Thanks,
Kop
