John,

I finally got time to read the Spring '03 restorer. What a very interesting and informative article you wrote ("Numbers and the "Missing Link", the Broadcast Copy"). Your insightful knowledge of the manufacturing process is a great asset to the hobby. I found a broadcast copy in my '67 442 and, even though it was Greek to me, I kept it in the documentation file with the rest of the papers from when I bought the car new. I also found one once in one of the '66 Impala/Caprices I had but never in a Corvette.

Now I'm wondering if there is one tucked in the '81 someplace.

Thanks again for the great article,
Tom

Glad to be able to contribute something useful after spending 37 years in Engineering and Assembly; there aren't many of us left who "were there" when these cars were designed and built.

Bulk mailing does funny things - sometimes takes 3-4 weeks to get them all delivered; they don't have a high priority for the postal service without First Class postage :(
