Default rebuilt tranny on a 1991

I just had my automatic tranny rebuilt about 4000 miles ago, anyways when I start out in drive or overdrive going about 20-25 then push gas until it down shift, it clunks or grinds (slight slipping) when it down shift (not that bad but noticable) its like a bad u-joint but you think the mechanic would have told me, it doesn't happen when I WOT it but gently push gas until it downshift, is this normal or should I take it back. I can't recall noticing it when I got it back after rebuild. Also if I start out in overdrive and it gets to 43 mph it shift then it shift again at 46-47 mph, not sure if it is torque lock up or shifting into gears. Both of these things happen at a light foot not at WOT. When manual shifting or WOT it is fine.

I also changed the Speed sensor, because it would shift in and out at 40-43 (that solve that problem. When I got my car back, the mechanic told me this was the problem and I knew I could do that myself.

I would definitely take it back and have them look at it. You paid a lot of money and should expect the job to be done right.

i'm taking it back tomorrow after work, I need to be there when he test drives it, because he drives it manually. Even I could drive it manually when my tranny went out. Mayority (little street racing) of the time I drive it in OD or in town in D. I had a 135,000 miles on that first tranny and it when out mainly because of the shift kit I put in it, but he says it because I have a hot foot. Well if he would notice its a corvette, and I drive i like one. But problems after 4000 miles no way thats not right.

Thanks Edmond, most people I know think I'm crazy when I tell them this stuff is happening.
