HI there,
I am thinking that there may be something inside the air box at the motor assembly.
You will need a 7/32 socket to remove the blower motor, underneath the passenger side instrument panel. There are 3 fasteners.
This would be my next course of action.

thanks for the info. i was getting ready to pull it out and check it out. before i did i tried it one last time and it works fine.

with that in mind here he the new scenario:

when i tried it this time the car has been sitting for a day or so and it worked immedietly... lots of air pressure comming out of the vents

before when i was having the problems i was in the middle of a 3 hour trip with the ac on the entire time and it just seemed to die out.

whit this new info what do ya think? should i still pull the assembly?

HI there,
Ok, so now you have pretty much narrowed it down to the motor, or the blower control module.
So, with that, when you remove the motor, you will see 3 other screws of the same type toward the rear of the heater box. This is your blower control module.
First, take a resistance reading of the motor. You should have no more than 1-3 ohm from one pin to the other pin on the motor assembly. Also, attempt to rotate the motor, while looking at the resistance reading. It should rotate very freely. See if it changes when you rotate it. IF you do NOT have an issue with the motor resistance value, you may have a bad module.
Please keep us posted, c4c5

I don't know offhand whether a corvette has any features (low side pressure switch...) to shut off the A/C when the refrigerant charge gets low. However, if you're low on refrigerant, the evaporator core can ice up and block the airflow through the system. Just another thought.
