Default Traction Control Service?

Yesterday the traction control logo lite up and a message came up on the DIC. The message read "have traction control serviced soon". I parked the car in my garage and shut it off. A couple of hours later I started the car and the light and message did not display. I pushed the traction control button on and off and all seemed to function correctly. Any thoughts?

HI there,
Codes would tell us alot.
Please extract them, and let us know what you have in 28-TCS.
Allthebest, c4c5

Default Note to C4C5

c4c5,

Sorry about the delay in geting back to you - my job required a several day trip to the midwest. At any rate - no codes were stored under 28-TCS. Although there were several codes stored for a low battery situation that took place last year. A new battery was installed but the dealer did not clear the codes. All is well.

Hi there,
The codes will have been erased when the battery power was disconnected.
Just keep us posted, c4c5

Hey,
I had the same thing happen to my 2003 AE Coupe. The brake fluid was low; added a little bit of DOT 3, and the problem was solved. Thought I was in big trouble when the "Service Traction Control System" light came on.
