1988 700r4

I came across a 1988 700R4 tranny from a Monte Carlo for $250.00 is this a good year ? I can't recall if there was a certain year(s) to avoid.

Hi Doug - $250 doesn't sound bad, but go to www.700r4.com which is the site for BowTie Overdrives in Socal. Go into their site and send an email to Steve. They get a load of emails, but there's the place to ask your question. If you are looking to swap the TH350 out, consider the 200R4 since you wouldn't have to mess with the crossmember or shortening the driveshaft. I'll be dropping off my '80 there next week to have one of their 200R4/Level 2's put in. :D Good Luck
