2002 z06 vs LS1 350 PACKAGE

Someone made this suggestion. I thought I would open it up for discussion since it could be some big money savings if anyone else is as confused as I am.

Purchase the 2002 Z06, or pay Lingenfellter $6895 for an LS1 350 CID PACKAGE (for '99 6 speeed)? Of course one would have to consider the all around perf package on the Z06 and maybe even hedge on the 03. It also presumes that engineering would be as good, maybe even better, than the factory. My lack of education on the topic makes me skeptic.

If it is the opinion that this should not be a topic rather a thread somewhere else, by all means move it - just tell me where.

If you're a road racer or an autocrosser, buy the Z06.
