Default BFG G Force T/A KDWS

Any opinions on BF Goodrich G Force T/A KDWS tires for my '96 Vert? $640.50 for the complete set w/mounting-balancing-sale tax
and road hazard warranty. (I was leaning towards Firestone Firehawks but a member recommended these)

Thanks in advance .........Lucky

Lucky - I had been considering the tires that you mention as well, but it was brought to my attention that they are an all season tire, and that is not what I want/need. Not sure if the same holds true for you though.

I will be purchasing tires very soon as well, and I am leaning toward the Bridgestone Potenza RE730 Gen II tires. They are a little more expensive, but every review that I see on these tires states that they grip very well, and that is an important factor for me. I do wish that TireRack would offer free shipping like Discount Tire Direct, though. If Discount Tire Direct carried the Bridgestone tires, I would certainly buy from them instead.

Good luck in your search...

I have the kdws and like them. Nice and quiet compared to Gsc's. Nice ride and good cornering. Never driven in the rain, don't know about that. Good luck, Guy

Should I get an alignment if I'm buying new tires?

BF Goodrich G Force T/A KDWS = great in rain, twice the life as Firehawks or GSC's, sacrifice performance. I drive my Vette everyday and they work perfect for me. So I take my favorite sweeping curve at 85mph instead of 90mph. I get to do it twice as many times for the money.

If you are not going to drive it year round, buy the KDW's. They are a little more agressive, and stick like a muther! Tons better than the crappy GSCs.

I have the KDW's on my 95 and love em.
