I just recieved a 69 original spare that I bought on ebay. This thing is in to good of shape to believe.I know one of the FCR refugees had some good pics of differences in wide oval repops vs original.Who had that?I would really like to know if this is the real deal. From what I can tell it is untouched. It still has the original paint on the wheel . :w

That was me. I have some pix of my original Firestone spare along with pix of the current repro Firestones. I'll try to post a link. I think I'll have to downsize the pictures. Chuck

Downsized these. There are 4 pix, original Firestone tire, original Firestone tread, repro Firestone tire, and repro Firestone tread. Check out the differences. I'm told that the repro Goodyears are much closer to the originals.

Can I buy a can of that original 69 air? What month was it collected? My 69 was built in late August of 69, so I want to be sure it has the correct pollen count. :) Chuck

Now, why can't I hit "browse" and link all 4 pics in one post. When I tried to do this, I could only "load" on pic at a time. As I added an additional pic, it would delete the previous one? Confused?? Chuck

I think you posted the same pic for both tires (outside shot)What were the differences in the lettering? I kinda remember something about that.I see what ya mean about the tread difference. Thanks:w

I'll have to dig out the spare from the compartment. Going to a NCRS judging event tomorrow. Having the 69 judged again. When I dig it out, I'll check the differences. Chuck

First one is Original Second one is Repo ;)

FYI:
I copied these into the "Gallery" Section, then referenced to them. I used the Gallery under the tabs, and between the FAQ & Members. You may need to sign in, but it will be the same logon name and password for the CACC general logon.. ;)

Once I reach the "FULL Quota" for photo's I go back through them and edit "delete" old from threads that don't see much traffic ;)

If we can help please let us know :dance
