Default Take a look at this Valve cover.

This is the valve cover that is on my Eng. From what I have been reading is if you have Billit roller rockers on your engine then you cant use stock valve covers .Take a look at this Picture you will see my valve cover on top of what looks like a spacer ??.
heads
Let me know if you think this is a spacer (the part that is between the head and valve cover) I would like to know for my own info. Thanks !

-indeed appears to be a whopping-thick 1"-spacer by which to raise the stock/valvecovers; however, it also rather appears to be oddly made of stamped sheetmetal which is a curiousity as it would not lend well to the task. I've only ever seen cast-aluminum spacers; -maybe that is just rough flashing along the lower perimeter-edge. Or, maybe its two valvecovers pieced together to obtain cover elevating. I'de sure be curious to see what is underneath and all; --let us know! ~Bob vH

Default Cool! American Ingenuity Knows No Bounds

Looks like the bottom of ANOTHER valve cover! Possibly welded or glued to the main one!

KNORLY!

It is made out of aluminum. and it does raise the valve cover up so as to clear the rockers.
I wanted to see if any of you guys had ever seen one or used one. I havent seen one used or even talked about. Here is a picture of the head you can see the bowtie thru the oil filer hole.
Were these heads stock ? I do know that these heads were put on when the eng was overhauled. Dident know if the aluminum heads were performance heads or what.
Thanks guys for the imput.
