Don't know, but do know Ed VonScoy with Desert Corvette Association out of Mesa . Here's his headlines :
" NEW WORLD LAND SPEED RECORD BROKEN - C/GT -
AUGUST 15TH, 2000 212.694 MPH IN A CORVETTE
AT BONNEVILLE SALT FLATS!! "

If I'm not mistaken Brooks lives in California and owns GS#427 and that pic is probably from the Silver State Clasic race in mid September. Brooks averaged 147+mph on the 90 mile race and topped out at 168 I think.
If you want to get a hold of him you can post a message on the Grand Sport Registry list bot.

Out of curiosity, does the Grand Sport Registry have their own Discussion Forum? Is it possible to get more LT4 owners in here?
Ideas anyone?

Bob,
I used to live in California where Brooks looked me up and we sent a few emails to each other. We never acctualy met, but he invited me to next year's race's in Nevada. As for being one of you guys, (racers I assume) unfortnatly I have yet to race my car (on the track anyway). I dont think I will be able to race in Nevada this year, but I do plan to get some time in at Portland International this summer. I have a feeling there is a lot I need to learn before I start racing at the speeed's that my car is capible of.
As far as the GSR's forum, there is one and it can be found at http://www.talkdungeon.com/talk/gs796.html

Twiget - we have several Portland/Vancover guys that do the ORR and the speed you go is a function of your desire AND your safety equipment - take a look at www.silverstateclassic.com (http://www.silverstateclassic.com) if you wish to look at the rules ...

Yo, Jason!
First time here... nice to see a venue for the exchange of LT4-only info.
It does stretch things a bit thin, though. Besides this new forum, there is also the Corvette Forum, the LT4um, and the Grand Sport Forum, not to mention the various email lists such as the GSR, Vettes, etc. Makes for a lot of URLs one needs to watch to stay on top of it all.
But if this topic can remain LT4 only, that will be cool by me!
cya,

I have a couple ideas of my own (one of which I just received approval to implment, more to come on this later!), but any input from the members would be great!

Hutch,
I was wondering when you would show up! Glad to see that word is getting around about Corvettenh. Your right about all the GS/LT-4 forums but this is my first real chance to do something like this so I jumped at it. I'll try to keep it as much LT-4 as possible.
BTW, how did you know it was me? http://corvettenh.com/ubb/wink.gif
