My Corvette(s):
1982 thats being redone
Default 1978 front bumper dimensions

Can someone tell me how wide the front bumper should be where it meets the fiberglass front fenders? I used a framing square standing vertically on the ground to find the outside edge of the fender then marked it on the ground for both sides. At the widest point on the front bumper seam my front fenders are 56" wide and the bumper cover is about 3/4" narrower than that. It looks like the urethane shrunk but that seems like an awful lot. I am wondering if my car has been put back together wrong.

Interesting technique....I had to go try it. My bumper and fenders meet very nicely, and at that point they are 56¾" wide, perhaps almost 56 7/8".
