Default My First Vette!

Hello all,

Just purchased my first vette ever and I love it. After a lot of searching and saving I finally purchased a 99 Vert 6 speed. It is great. One problem though. Lumbar support on driver side doesn't work. Driver side seat is making a buzzing noise and when i push on of the buttons it stops any ideas. the dealer ship said they would fix it but it would be nice if I could do it and save time. Anyways other than that car is sweeeet! I got so many looks (17 year old kid driving a Vette gets a lot of attention)(I payed for it not parents) I love it and got my first wave from another Vette owner. Anyways love the site and will post pics soon.

Congratulations on the purchase of your first Corvette. I know you will enjoy every minute of it. I know the excitement you feel by haveing someone wave. My wife and I just bought our first Vette in October of 2002. So have fun and keep on waving.

blackbelt,

Congratulations on your first Corvette...and welcome to the Corvette Action Center!!! Can't wait to see pictures of your new beauty.

By the way, I'd have the dealership take care of your lumbar problem. Why take on a project that is covered under warranty??!

Let us know how you make out.

Elaine

Welcome to

I agree that the dealership should do the work right now. I'm glad you were able to buy the vette yourself. When I was about your age I also bought my first car myself(a'68 GTO). It's the best way to go. Be your own man(or woman-that's politically correct right). Have fun with it !

congrats on the new vette. i know what you're feeling, i just got my c5 a few weeks ago...i love the car.

i was 24 when i bought my first vette (86 coupe)...i remember everyone at work thought i was dealing drugs on the side...it just takes dicipline and a good savings plan. fact was, what i paid for my used vette was less than people were paying for their new hondas. enjoy the car...it never gets old.

not only does a 17 year old in a vette get alot of attention from chicks and dudes that wish they were you, but from the boys in blue too, so advice from a fellow teen is to get a radar detector or somthing, it could save you money and your license!

well, congrats again on your vette, you earned it!
