Corvette Steering

I've had my vette for well over a year now, and I KNOW they are very sensitive to road conditions. But recently, i have found it difficult to feel comfortable driving arround. Confidence level has dropped alittle due to my Corvette wondering all over the lane.

Now, NJ road are far from the best in the nation, I am sure of that, but I shouldn't have to "battle" my Corvette to keep it straight in the lane.

I did have it recenty aligned at the same dealership that "didn't" damage my front fender(if anyone remembers that post a month or so ago). They said the tow was out and showed me the numbers and i got the print out.

Is this just something I will have to accept?

Should i have it aligned again at a good tire place?

Could there be some mechanical fix, or increase the resistance to the steering wheel so its not as sensitive?

Are you sure your tie rods arent going out? Did that shop replace em?

What kind of condition was your tread in when you received the alignment? If your tires were either severely worn on the inside or outside when you received that alignment (assuming it was done correctly) this could actually cause your car to track better while out of alignment than when in alignment. This is due to the fact that the tires had "seated in" at the old alignment angle and had somewhat worn in a manner to complement the out-of-alignment condition. Once the stearing equipment is set up to track "true" the worn tires actually fight the new corrected condition (I've found this true especially on very wide tires). Does this make sense?

That does make sense.... My tread is pretty good, no uneven ware.

I can ask them to check the tire rods next oil change (which is coming up soon).
