Several people in my old Supra forum were switching to them. Supposedly they are a pretty good tire, though personally I haven't liked any of the import tires I've driven on. (Falken, Sumitomo, Yokohama) They typically offer a hard compound and up to 60,000 miles of tread life. The hard compound is good for tread life which is why you see such high mileage life out of them, but really sucks for performance as they don't heat up and get sticky-at all- in my experience.
I've not tried the 520s though, could be a whole different world.

I have pretty much tried them all in varying situations and I think I will stay with the Firestone SZ-50's.

I'm with LT1Vettepilot. The Mercedes Forum really touts Yokohama as a great tire, but on a vette? I don't know, I've gone to the Dunlop for about a year and a half now on the 85 and love em. Others will chime in, tires are always a hot topic :blow

After the weather clears around here I'll let you know how they are. Snowed again today. Got a deal on rims from the same guy. Konig 17x9.5 $200 for all four in mint condition , that's $450 for rims and tires!

You wouldn't be interested in selling a couple of your wheels at a fair price then, would ya?!
I want a pair of rear wheels (17X9.5) for the fronts.

Man! That's a smokin' deal . I went with the Dunlop SP Sport 8000's, before I knew about this forum. I really like them, they stick like krazy and are good in the rain. I went to a high end dealer and overpaid by a hundred or so, but the car was new to me and I needed good advice. I'll do better next time, but you got yor whole deal for a couple hundred + less than what I paid for just the tires. Let us know how they are.
