Default Z-51

Could anyone tell me how I would know if my 84 vette has the Z-51 option. Is there a code # somewhere? Thank you

If I'm not mistaken, there is a sheet laminated to the underside of one of the cubbyhole doors behind the drivers seat. On that sheet will be all of the RPO (Regular Production Options) for your car. The Z51 would be listed there. If that's missing, you can always order a duplicate invoice from the Corvette Museum. That would also include an option sheet which would tell you. Good luck!

There are build sheets that contain the RPO codes for your car, there is always one on the gas tank.

Inside the car, they will either be in the console or in the drivers' side compartment.

If you cannot find the code an easy way is to count the turns of the steering wheel from lock to lock...Z-51's are 2- 2 1/4 turns where Z52's are 2 3/4 turns...

Z52 did not exist in 1984. That came out in 1987.
