Power programer or Software
I'm looking to start getting into tuning my 94 LT1 with a power programmer or possibly some other type of software. Does any body use the Power programer or where can I get software for my pc? Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi, I use the Hypertech programmer in my 94 lt1. I can feel the difference when it is programmed. I have changed the shift points with it as well. Car runs good, but I am not sure if this is the best on the market, or not.

I'm using the Hypertech power programmer on my 94 right now, only using the lower fan temp, calibration for the gear change, and trans shift firmness.
Didn't notice a difference with the "performance tuning" at the track or on the street.
If you have any plans on doing alot of modifications to your car I would buy theLT1 Edit software. You'll need a laptop.
I'm planning on going to LT1 Edit myself this spring.
Otherwise if you don't plan on doing much more than a cold air kit, exhaust, and a few other small things then see if you can pick up a used programmer. I got mine for $150.

I agree I have only used tuner cat and will be buying LT1 Edit soon... But first i need the laptop.. it's a ways off since I'm dropping some cash on crossdrilled rotors and stainless steel brake hoses and some new shocks.. Wanna go fast thats good Wanna stop Fast thats IMPORTANT! After a few hard runs and feeling brake fade for the first time.. this is m next upgrade..

www.tunercat.com think it's like 60$ for the tunercat then you need 20$ for the $EE definition file you will need.. then goto www.akmcables.com and Andrew can hook you up with a nice molded cable for 100$ so you still spend less then the hypertech.. assuming you have a laptop or want to haul your desktop to the garage like me because I'm low on funds.. which brings up a apoint.. e-mail me if you need anything done I'm looking for some cash to so I can start my own business at some point.. thanks,
-Rick
