Default suddenly runs rough; no power.

Been running perfectly. Started up today and it was surging badly. Step on the gas and it sounds like it's getting no gas. Not drivable. What sudden failure could cause this. Error code light does NOT stay on. ????

Default Plugged fuel filter?

that would be my first guess! Or the pump is giving up the ghost.

2nd would be clogged cats

Nope; I've got rail pressure. Now it won't start at all. I suspect the ignition module. I'm guessing that a bad ignition module won't give a trouble light in the computer.

it went from running perfectly one day to not running at all the next morning. The pump gets up to rail pressure instantly and cycles off like always. That should rule out clogged anything. Afetr the initial surging, erratic idle, and no power when the accelerator was depressed, now it won't start at all.
Ignition? ECU?
