Well, I wouldn't be TOO heartbroken. With only 21,000 miles, it sounds like you have quite a nice original Vette there.
Is it a coupe, conv.? Color? Tell us a little bit about it!

Yes, it's a coupe. Ontario Orange is the color. I just posted a picture of it on my Profile. I don't know how long the picture will be there, lol. There are a few rock chips in the paint but not to bad. I was told to leave it as original as possible, meaning no new paint job. Interior is mint not a rip or tear in sight. Super clean inside and out. Runs fantastic. The only thing is I'm trying to get the paper work as far back as I can to the original owner. I only have papers that go back to 1980, along with the manual. I was also told to try to get it into the Corvette Survivor club. I have to find out more about that.

lava- looks like a very nice car! I'd say you have a great candidate for "Survivor" status. I'd go to the NCRS section here to ask about Survivor information.
