The new stock 'verter on my '84 flows real well. The 406 blows great thru the 3" TPIS system and it! It is honeycomb.

If some how a long steel rod got into the pipe the honey comb could be removed..... That would be a terrible fate wouldn't it ? Gee Whiz.... I hope that doesn't happen....It would be awful if that L98 got to breather a little better . Now.... don't all of you clean air guys get your EPA pantys in a bind....It ain't happen YET !!!!!!

Tony .... I like my vette's with true dual exhaust. Knocking the honey comb out of the exhaust pipes will let the engine breath better giving way to more power. There are a lot of people who wouldn't do this . I guess this makes me a bad person....Bob

bob yates,

Dosen't make you a bad person....I mean like you've got to get all the performance you can, and the simplest way.....I can understand that....but out here in Southern CA. its just to much of a risk.....mainly because I love driving my vette.....what ever the performance minus is......
Good luck to ya.....
Do what you must...
tony
good luck...

I guess I need to vent here about vet testing....Here in Louisville Kentucky the person who owns the vet testing places happens to be the brother in law to the mayor. At first it cost $4.00 than it went to $6.00 and now it is $11.00. With a recent study of air quality Big Lou is no cleaner than 30 some years before testing. Everyone is just a little bit poorer and the courts or fuller and Mr. Brother inlaw owns two mansions and 5 exotic cars that have all flunked the vet test. As far as the testing itself went I could beat it everytime. My cars all had no cats on them and the passed with flying colors. I've even got a chevy van with a 350 small block with dual exhaust and a four barrel and it does not put out any carbon monoxcide as per vet test. It's amazing..... So some one who wanted to get elected to office has stop vet test as of Nov. 2003. So after that I won't be a bad person or a felon but I am gona be one fast desperado.....Bob....... Let's bring back the battle cry " Don't tread on me" Who Ra !!!!!

Hey I feel for you guys in Cal. I'd hate to live there with a vette. I've seen some of the crap you have to put on your rides. Your air is no cleaner now than it was before all this stuff. People with cars are the only ones they can charge . It's kinda like when your sitting on the side of the road getting a ticket for doing 65 in 55 zone and the whole time your there everyone passing by is doing 80. Later.....Bob
