Default Differential Drain Plug Kit

Hello–I took my LT4 in for routine service, one of the requests was to have the differential fluid changed.

The service manager suggested that I retro fit a traditional style drain plug to make future servicing easier, and more effective because the fluid would drain from the bottom of the differential instead of using a siphon to remove the existing fluid.

I’ve been aware of the retro fit kit, but, I have several concerns:

• I want to keep the car original. Will this take away from the cars value?

• Also, has anybody had this installed, and do you have any pros or cons about the kit.

Thanks!

Default Rear End

I bought my 96 and it had one already installed, I havet changed rear end fluid on it yet, but was thinking of getting one installed on my 74, or buying a new cover with one on it. I take the the cover off to drain it, and put new seal on it, The plug would make it alot easier.

You can purchase a differential drain plug kit by calling the phone number 407-323-7804. They will need the year of the car, your address, phone number, shipping preference, and payment information. They accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, as well as checks and money orders. Here is their Web Page

Wamp and SLICKMAN,

thank you for the input. I took a look at the Corvette Clinics kit, it looks to straight forward and easy to install. I think I’m going to go ahead and order one.

Thanks for the help!
