Default Vararam Install ????

Well, I just received my Vararam and will be installing it on my 03 Z06 Saturday morning. I have done plenty of searches for installation help. All I have really found are some pictures and a few tips. Unfortunately the directions in my opinion could be better. Does anyone have some "detailed"directions with pictures to go along ? I am pretty mechanically inclined. I would rather not wing it, but it looks like that is where I am headed. If anyone has some better instructions, then please pass them to me.

The most detailed instructions I've seen are right on their own web site.

I just got the April 2003 Vette magazine yesterday and they have a step by step photo instructions as well . The article starts at page 31 and runs till page 35..

They also have baseline dynos and after install dynos and comparisions on 0 to 60mph...Its impressive.

the acceleration goes from 4.97 seconds to 4.51..

If its real .4tenths is a worthwhile mod especially from 0 to 60mph..

The peak hp increase is 12 rwhp and max torque increase is 11 lb/ft..

Of course the benefit of cool intake air shows up on the road versus the dyno so thats probably where the excellent 4.51 vs. 4.97 showed up...

I think the installation looks a bit of pain in the butt..yet when your done I believe you will be pleased..

Good luck and if you get a chance check out www.vetteweb.com they may have this article on line as well as in print. You might find it interesting to read the excellent report on the product your installing.

Default Just a heads up on internet link to vetteweb

The vettemagazine story is only in print at this point..probably another few days or so till it hits the website.

Might be a story you enjoy so check out the news stands if you don't get the magazine via suscription.

JBsC5,

I have been everywhere looking for the April issue. All I found was Feburay issues. I guess I need to wait a little longer.

Thanks for the tip ! I did already install it. WOW what a job !

I would really like to see that issue of Vette though.......

Thanks Again,

I installed my Vararam in about 4 hours. It was a job. the instructions sucked. But when done. It looks better then any other intake system.
