Default 82 Ce

What types of performance mods would you recommend for an 82 CE? I want to keep the authenticity of the car for the most part. But I would like to do as much as possible to give me a little bit better performance. What types of stuff could I do that may totally alter it but be reversible in the event I want to put it back to stock?

What about screwing the authenticity and just making it into a modified 82 vette. Changing color scheme and modifing it. I am hesitant on doing so. I think I should have gone with a normal 82 instead of a CE. Anybody have any suggestions? Or have an 82 they would like to work out a trade deal?

I got a 82 collector and it was bone stock and ran like the 200 horse it was.I kept all the stock part's and put a diferent block,AFR head's Demon carb.,hydraulic roller, air gap, hughe's 700r4 and a 3.73 diferental, hooker's and MSD. nothing that I know of can'nt be put back stock but that isn't going to happen as long as it is mine. The only thing that is on the the car that is the weak link is the diferental and drive shaft.I think it will handle what I am putting to it as long as I don't put a set of slick's on. I would have a whole in the hood for a blower motor but my wife would have a fit for awhile and that keep's me in line as long as I don't change the look's she does;nt know or care what I do to it.That is good I guess cause I would'nt be crusin to Arkansas or place's I go with a blower. Just my 2 cent's.

Thanks. I am really thinking about modifing my Vette to my likeing. Performance and Apperance (color scheme). I plan on owning the vette for a long time. I rather be building up something I really like and want rather than trying to spend all my time and money keeping my Vette authentic. I would like to get some more info. from you about what you have done to your engine. Power gains, easy of installations, costs, and etc.
