Hey Ron,

Be careful over there on that other thread! There are a couple of real insecure and sensitive C5 drivers in that thread.

I was a Marine grunt in Vietnam and always dreamed of a ride in an F4. Next time you go super in the vertical mode, think of me! My "call sign" is in remembrance of a great night interdiction aircraft that flew in Korea.

Take care Ron. BTW, I have a blk/blk ZR-1 too! In the shop now having an LPE aerobody installed.

So thats where A26B comes from, the "Invader"! I think we scared off UvetteIrace.
Yo, Ron wer'nt you suppose to get a major snow storm out there? Sometimes I fly out of Osan AFB playing Falcon 4.0.

Secondchance,

UVetteIrace needs to buy a C5. Especially if he is trying to compare a ZR-1 to a C5. If he was talking about a ZO6, then there would be ample and legitimate issues to compare. Funny when he discovered the Beemer types wouldn't immediately recognize a ZR-1. Does he really think the Beemer & Benz crowd will give a hoot when they see his C5?? Sure, WE know it's a great car, but not uncommon by any stretch of the imagination. I think he is going to be disappointed unless he tricks the body/paint and throws in a few mods so the heads will turn.

I fully agree. I get the feeling that he is at the early stage of the curb and would not be able to appreciate nor put up w/ ZR-1. No doubt, C5 would suit him better. Nonetheless, since he asked I tried to correct some of his misunderstanding.
Looks like you are doing some radical mods. Any mechanical mods?

No snow @ Osan. It's been in the forcast but none this week.

Tha Phantom is a great jet, flew the back seat as a WSO before moving to the front.

Kind of thought your call sign was for that. Thought you might have owned one.

Cheers,

The body mod is the Lingenfelter Aerobody. 3 are known to exist by Lingenfelter, not counting mine. I have Fiske Mach 5 18" wheels, little wider than stock, slotted rotors, GS calipers waiting on it when body work is finished. Corvette Exhaust in Houston will install ceramic coated headers and new 3" custom exhaust to the tail without cats. Then, hopefully around the last of March, to Lingenfelter for 368 build. My goal is to have it ready for BG in May.

That sounds real cool. You may alredy have looked into it but, just in case, I was told that SGC does just as quality work at more reasonable price relative to Lingenfelter.
With a kid in college, I can't afford any luxuries these days.

Ron,

You've been flying awhile then! I would have given my left one back then and would give em both now. The F4 is a real beast.

No, I don't own one. There was a time when I was active in the Confederate Air Force that I was seriously considering. Cheap warbird @ about 150K but fuel & maintenance is a biggie. Got remarried and that was the end of that. Probably a good thing anyway. The ZR-1 is about all I have time and money for now.

Airspeed & altitude to you in abundant quantities. Take care.

Jerry
