This is way off topic but what's the story on the 59 T-bird?

Sorry to hear about the Vette. You never even got a chance to say goodbye.

Was it ever appraised? Do you have the receipts? You may be able to have it appraised by pictures. But go for REPLACEMENT VALUE.

That's funny.....I didn't delete any threads. I merged one into the other to have one thread going instead of two threads dealing with the same thing. I don't get it.....

Sorry about your loss. I am an insurance guy, and would like to know more about your claim. Laws and policies differ from State to State, but the basic ideas are the same.

Who was at fault?

Would more than one person be responsible for the damages (ie, the tow truck was rear ended, then it lost the load).

How much was the estimate?

Where is the car now?

Is it racking up storage charges?

Did/do you have a clear title?

Did anybody get hurt?

Between now and then, what I would suggest is more important than receipts would be comparable sales ads for other 90 Vettes with low mileage and mild mods. Try to find a dozen or so in the general area that you can present as comparable sales vehicles to help determine the market value.

Let me know.

Well, for a bad situation, you don't have that bad of circumstances to work with. Mayflower will have plenty of liability coverage, they are 100% at fault, you have documentation, so it should be fairly easy to collect. I don't expect you to even need a lawyer for this. Unless he is working for free, you may be throwing a portion of your settlement out the window for his cost and fees. Property damage issues are fairly straight forward.
