My Corvette(s):
1996 Collections Edition LT4 with Grand Sport Rims
Default Cold air induction ????

This will be going on a 96 CE LT4. Has anyone on this board ever used or knows some who has used this cold air induction system by SLP. Before I traded my SS I used their stuff all the time, but I don't know how they are with vettes.

1996 LT4, Z51 CE Coupe -- (sold to Hrtbeat1)
Default

I know of people that use it, it works well.... but, it is no better than just an open air box with a K&N filter, so unless you like the way it looks, you can save some money by getting the open lid/K&N setup, or by cutting off the top of the stock lid.

Default I have that

Installation is easy. No issue with sucking water into the engine in
the rain or when driving through a deep puddle. I would say not
too much help in the 1/4 though--maybe .1 sec. I ran before and after,
and it's really hard to tell the difference. The coolant bypass coupled
with launching at 185C oil temp was much more effective.

I'm told the effectiveness of the SLP unit will increase if you have
flow through mufflers/ cat back exhaust. Air in easy, air out easy.
