Default A different kind of brake question for late-model Corvettes...

Now that I've been modifying the hell out of my car and am leaning more and more to using it as basically a drag type of vehicle, with occasional cruise night duty, I have a question about my ABS.

I was talking with Will, my engine builder, today and mentioned that I ordered my front wheels and skinny tires. He brought up the subject of how my ABS would be affected.

It was curious that he did bring it up, because just the other day when I ordered my wheels, tires and driveshaft loop kit, I was going to get the Hurst "Roll Control" but noticed that the disclaimer stated that it, and each of the other brands advertised, was not to be used on ABS-equipped vehicles.

So now my question of the day is how does disabling the ABS affect everything, or anything, else? ...anything or everything? ...whatever, you know what I mean. What happens?

I had them disabled on my old '87 (ok, the system was broken) nothing was a problem, besides the wheels locking up.... ABS is designed to leave the braking system in tact if there is any problem with the system, so it will just act like a normal car without ABS... and to your benefit, the ABS is not required for any other systems (like ASR) on your '87.
