Those of you that installed a 383 in your 78 - 82 C-3's, what oil pan did you use? I'm keeping my original L-81 motor. Did you have problems with the power steering clearing the pan? I'm starting on the short block now and I'm a little concerned that my oil pan will have clearance problems.
Thanks
Doug

Doug- I used a Milodon 7 quart pan, no clearance problems at all as I'm sure you'll be happy to hear.
Here's a couple pics; 383 Project (http://www.c3sharktank.com/tech2/383project/383project1.html)

Thanks Scott81,
I was considering the 7 Qt pan, but someone told me there may be clearance probs with P/S ram. I feel mo' better now.

Doug- so far no problems and it dropped right into the engine bay with no problems either. Hope you attend the January NCRS show in Orlando, maybe the forum members could have a little get together there.

Scott 81,
How low is the pan from the ground? Do you worry about speed bumps? Yes I plan to attend, though I really dislike Orlando/Disney and hate driving there. Maybe the members can hook up.
Thanks
Doug
