Default Pullys

Does anyone know if there is any HP gain for installing aftermarket pullys, or what are the prefered pullys for a 1995 LT1? Some of my friends with Cobra's have said they noticed a difference with their application for a minimum cost. Thanks in advance.

You will notice power gains, but not as much as other cars... this is because one of the biggest power gain usually comes from the water pump, which is camshaft driven on LT1 and LT4 cars...

What it will do for your 'vette, real world with the pulleys... the car with the A/C on, will be about the same as it is off without the pulleys, and with it off, you will have more power and better throttle response.

by the way, the engine dress shop has the best deals on the pulley sets for LT1's, do a search for them online

Thanks. I'll check them out. Maybe a Christmas gift to myself. I'm always easy to buy for.....

I found them a waste of money. Very minimal gain and a resulting very high steering effort, as all the accessories run too slow at idle. Guys will not admit anything but a PERCEIVED gain after spending bucks to go faster.
