Default Side and deck stripes

I decoded my RPO list in the console lid I found something interesting it has a code for body side stripes and deck lid stripes ??? I can't say as I have ever seen a C4 with factory stripes. This car has been repainted before I bought it ( traded it for a 98 yamaha banshee ) Could someone confirm what these look like? I will try and post the RPO code when I get home ..... Dewayne

Default Stripes?

The only code I could find that is related to your query is #B6R, which is for the "Decal Package".
I believe that was for pace car models. I'm unaware of any factory pinstripes offered.
Good luck in your search.

Here is a complete list of all codes from 1984 through 1996: 1984 - 1996 Corvette RPO Codes, from our Corvette Model Center. It IS listed, but I was unfamiliar with the option code or a body side/deck lid stripe package for 1987.

Maybe one of our members has heard of or seen it as well as you. Maybe you have a rare option for that year. Congratulations on your find.

While it might be a rare option I am always wary of people when they use that word I always see these cars advertised as 1 of 250 cars that had AM radio and ash tray delete as a basis of what is truely rare. Its too bad this car had been repainted I would have liked to see what these were they might be so garish that no one wanted them so they could be RARE because they are ugly. Ha Ha oh well hope some one knows about them. Cheers Dewayne

Does anyone know if this could be a dealer added option ? It is on the console rpo code list and doesn't appear to have been added to. Thanks

if it is on the console lid list, then it couldn't have been dealer added....

What do you think the deck lid is on a coupe? i can understand deck lid for a convertible, but a coupe? If I could imagine it first, maybe I could remember seeing one with them

I found this site http://home.swipnet.se/vettebuff/corvette/rpo.htm

which has D98 listed as sensor assembly speedo. I found this RPO on other 'Vette sites listed the same way... however, I did find D98 listed for F-Body cars as striping.... I think it may be a car model mix-up here

The speedo assembly would be a more resonable explaination. Since I have never seen a regular C4 with factory stripes. Except for GS cars. Thanks Dewayne
