Default Just in case...

Just in case someone happens to have one, or knows where one can be found...

I discovered today that there was an option to have no air conditioning in a fourth-generation Corvette. Trouble is, the "suitcase" (the part that holds the blower/accumulator assembly) has been discontinued.

So, if any of you know of one that is available, I would most appreciate it if you would let me know about it.

Thanks.

Wonder if Gordon Killebrew could shed any light on how many left the plant that way and whether or not they had spare parts stocked.

It sounds like those cars may have been purpose-built race cars like the Corvette Challenge models, but I think even those had A/C.

I read somewhere that you could also order a C4 in primer (no color) but it took a lot of work on the part of the dealer.

this sounds like one of those parts that is impossible to find, just because so few were made.... It may be easier to fabricate a new one, instead of trying to find one...... but, one more avenue to check, can't the dealers find any part at any other dealership now?? this sounds like one of those parts that is sitting on a dealer's parts shelf, never to be used.
