My Corvette(s):
Default Radio wiring

Well I finally got serious about replacing my radio. I got hold of a couple of good diagrams and have almost all the wiring sorted out except for the speed control volume wire and the power antena wire. The new radio (99 Cavalier am/fm/ cd) has a wire for the speed control volume that ties into engine control system. it does not show a wire for the power ant. I could just leave the SCV disconnected and put a mini toggle switch on the ant. but would really like to hook it all up. I am trying to do as little damage as possible so I can always go back to an all original car. Thanks in advance Charlie

Nope, but someday.

HI there,
LT Green, with a white tracer, goes directly to speed output signal to the radio. This signal comes directly from the PCM.
In your 86, you will NOT be able to make it work, the speed compensated volume function.
As far as the power antenna, Cavalier was never equipped with a power antenna output, so that is going to be a toggle switch for that, to supply battery power to your antenna motor, just like the factory radio does.
Hope that helps, c4c5
