Amoco Gasoline
I heard that Amoco has some sort of cleaner in their gasoline. Does anyone know if this is true? Or is someone talking out of the wrong hole!

I believe all gasolines have certain types of detergents in their formula.

I haven't seen an AMOCO station for years, are they still around. I don't think there are any up here in the New England area.

We still have a bunch of them here in Southern New England...Soon to be changed over to BP (British Petroleum)

1995 Black/Black Coupe, 6 Speed
I prefer Amoco gas. I never have had any problems with it, but Speedway is another story. All of their stations in Chicago are changing to BP, but still using the Amoco name for gas. You can check out their parent company at
