Default Vari-Ram Installation

Has anyone installed a Vari-Ram or talked to someone who has? If so, what are your impressions? Ease of install, results as expected, documented increase (or decrease in HP), etc. Just curious. I see they have a Christmas sale on right now , so if I'm gonna try it now would be a good time to buy.

Hi there,
It will take about 2 hours to install, however, I do not recommend this air intake system.
Benefits to this system are only at higher vehicle speeds, and will not compliment the drivability of your engine.
Being you have an 03, I would not bother with cold air induction, as it will not assist you enough to make a difference.
Also, I have had the foam filter element split open on more than one occasion.
I would stay stock on this, honestly.
Allthebest, c4c5

1/4 Mile?
It is easy to install , one bolt on top of each duct tube as it enters the front the car is next to impossible to install , you will see as you take out the stock plastic blank where the fog light goes , it will take about two hours to do and an extra hour for the two very hard to reach bolts . You will get the same results on the dyno as K&N , rammer and black plus the real ram air effect that the other systems do not do . Yes the filter needs to be clean often . Check out my E.T's at the thread above .
Thanks,
Joe

Thanks for the input both of you. I'm curious, is there a difference between the air induction on a 03 and previous models?
